What can I expect?
How long is an fpc CHURCH service?
In total, an FPC Church service is about 60 minutes in length for both Traditional, and Contemporary.
Traditional services include singing hymns, prayer, and choir specials led by piano, organ, and other instruments. Scripture will be read and you will hear an encouraging and life-giving message from the pastor.
The Contemporary services begin with the band leading the church in music; song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. There may also be an artistic/creative video or two that give insight to our faith, hope, love, life, and the gospel. After the music and video portions of service are complete, one of our pastors will share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus Christ. The service concludes with a benediction and a blessing.
What about my kids?
We offer a safe, loving, and comfortable nursery for children. Upon arrival, you may check them in at kiosks in the Narthex/Sanctuary or Jeffords Center, as well as at our Kids Ministry entrance on the bottom floor of the CE Building. You will receive a print out security ticket to keep with you and return when you pick up your child(ren) after the worship service.
Children grades Kindergarten through 5th grade attend Power Hour from 10:45 until worship has concluded. Power Hour is a specifically designed worship space and time focused on nurturing kids' knowledge, understanding, and faith in God's Love for them through Jesus Christ - all through an engaging, fun, and interactive atmosphere!
