We all need to schedule time to rest and allow space to be renewed… it doesn’t just happen for most of us in the course of our daily lives! You are invited to take some time out to connect with God and with other women, as we set aside time to be together this March! 

During the weekend we will create space for rest, quiet, conversation, prayer, and reflection on Scripture. We’ll also have fun exploring the grounds of the center, playing games, doing puzzles and relaxing together. There will be plenty of free time!

During our four Gatherings, we will be led by Marlayne Whitlock and Carrie Wheeler. Marlayne has led retreats and gatherings with us before, and is a counselor and spiritual director in Atlanta. Carrie was with us to lead our Flourish Advent Gathering in 2024. She is a piano teacher and a spiritual director. Both bring a depth of faith, and a love for working with women and helping us to see and know God better. Emily Sexton will be back with us to lead us in worship!

For your planning: Plan to arrive at Shocco Springs around 6:00 p.m. (Alabama time!) on Friday, and we will be leaving to head back for an arrival time at home around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday (Douglasville time). It takes about an hour and a half to get from Douglasville to Shocco Springs. The cost includes all meals (Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast) and accommodations in hotel-style rooms (most with one full size, and one bunk bed). If you would like a single room, the cost will be $230. Please register by February 26th.

This is a rich time of growth, community, encouragement, and rest.  We hope you will consider joining us! This year we will be joined again by some wonderful women from Dunwoody Presbyterian Church!
